Profession Locking
This modification is a port/rework of Profession Lock adapted for Neoforge. It’s a compact mod designed to stop players from resetting the professions and trades of villagers by continuously breaking and placing their workstations. We believe this mechanic significantly disrupts the game balance, making it far too simplistic and allowing players to acquire certain items, such as the Mending enchantment, with minimal effort.
With Profession Locking, villagers maintain their profession and trades even if their corresponding workstation is destroyed, adding a layer of challenge and strategy to gameplay.
