There are games that will always remain captivating, even if their graphics don’t compare to modern standards. Take, for instance, the game “Plants vs. Zombies.” What if we combined two of the most recognizable games? The mod “Plants vs. Zombies” introduces friendly characters from the legendary game PvZ into Minecraft!
This mod will bring botanical beings into your world while maintaining the vanilla essence of the game.
Creating Plants
Hunting for Crazy Dave!
First, you need to find Crazy Dave, who holds the seeds for all the plants. Locate any zombie and transform it into Crazy Dave by giving it a flower pot.
To craft a pot, you will need 5 pieces of iron.
Next, gather the plants from Minecraft Bedrock shown below, and combine them with the pot. This will result in a pot filled with plants.
Take note: You can substitute the sunflower with any tall two-block plant, and you can also replace a specific seedling with any other.
Lastly, locate a zombie and apply a speed potion to it. Then, grab a pot with plants and wait for 100 seconds. Once all these steps are completed, you will have Crazy Dave!
Crazy Dave
With Crazy Dave, you can collect coins in the form of sun tokens to purchase seeds for various plants. He is vulnerable to zombie attacks, so it’s crucial to ensure his safety; otherwise, you risk losing all your progress. To make it easier to manage Dave, you can move him around using a shovel.
Similar to the game “Plants vs. Zombies,” it’s essential to plant sunflowers first. Otherwise, where will you get the funds for new defenders?
Soil Preparation
To plant your vegetation, you need to create a garden spade.
Once you acquire a shovel, press and hold the crouch buttons to dig a dirt mound in the ground.
Plant seeds are sown in the prepared mounds. Additionally, the new shovel has a significant advantage—it never wears out, so you won’t need to craft a new one!
Taco!
By harnessing the power of plants, you must defeat zombies. Approximately one in five defeated zombies will drop a taco. To increase the chance to one taco for every four kills, use explosive plants. Trading tacos for sunlight in Crazy Dave’s menu will unlock new plants for you. If your Dave is in danger, the taco will come to the rescue, providing him with a shield to keep him safe.
Plants
Peashooter is a classic plant that appears very early in the game, right after the sunflower. The Peashooter fires peas at zombies within its range.
Sunflower is the most crucial item; the game cannot be played without it. Sunflowers produce sunlight, which serves as the in-game currency for “Plants vs. Zombies.” All other plants can only be purchased using this sunlight.Wall-nut is an excellent plant for defense. It has a large health pool, allowing attacking plants to eliminate approaching zombies. Ideally, place the Wall-nut in front of the Peashooter, and if possible, use a more powerful plant instead.Cherry Bomb. A useful item for close-range attacks, typically placed near a defended area to protect it in emergencies. This vibrant plant attracts zombies and then explodes, destroying them all. Zombies that are defeated have a high chance of dropping tacos.
Frosty Peas. Any target hit by frost peas will experience a slowing effect. While this is certainly advantageous, it is important not to rely on it entirely.
Potato Mine. A charming entity capable of tearing its foes to shreds. The mine will remain buried until a zombie comes near. Upon its demise, zombies have a higher chance of dropping tacos.
Peashooter— a prototype of the peashooter with a double attack feature. When fired, it shoots two projectiles at once, inflicting greater damage on enemies.
