The mod “Odd Mobs” alters the abilities of certain hostile mobs in Minecraft Pocket Edition, making them more engaging. If you have been playing MCPE for a while, you might be eager to introduce some changes into your gameplay. Additionally, this will ramp up the game’s difficulty. The most notable change is that creepers in the world of Minecraft PE have finally come to their senses and now throw TNT bombs instead of exploding themselves.
Changes
Creepers have realized they don’t need to self-destruct to harm players in MCPE. They will now toss TNT bombs that detonate after 2-3 seconds. However, there are times when a creeper may still blow itself up with its own bombs. Nevertheless, this marks a significant evolution for creepers in the realm of Minecraft Pocket Edition.
Blazes have transformed into something akin to flamethrowers, firing a barrage of 18 projectiles. The cooldown for this ability is quite low, meaning you’ll constantly find yourself under a hail of blaze shots.
Skeletons in Minecraft PE no longer burn in sunlight.
All Changes
- Zombies now possess double health but deal slightly less damage.
- Skeletons do not catch fire in daylight and are hostile towards wolves.
- The health and damage dealt by wolves have both doubled.
- Wither skeletons have been debuffed and are now affected by poison.
- Creepers throw TNT instead of detonating themselves.
- Blazes have become flamethrowers with increased health.
- Ghasts are now neutral mobs; they won’t attack unless provoked. They’ve also gained abilities reminiscent of Neo from The Matrix, making them quite dangerous.
- Endermen now have 10 health points and can teleport every second, making it nearly impossible to catch and kill them.
Installing Odd Mobs (.mcpack)
- Download the mod labeled “.mcpack” below.
- Run the downloaded file to import the add-on/resource pack into MCPE.
- Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and navigate to the world settings.
- Set the imported:
— Add-ons for your world. - Select the imported resource packs/add-ons in each section.
- It’s recommended to restart the game client Minecraft PE afterward.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the add-on!
Installing Odd Mobs (.zip)
- Download the mod below.
- Extract the “Odd Mobs” folder from the archive.
- Move the “Odd Mobs” folder to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ directory.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Apply the add-on you moved to the behavior_packs folder to the selected world.
- Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy your game!
