This mod eliminates the shield slot from the client-side in Modern Minecraft.
NoShieldSlot Mod Overview
The NoShieldSlot mod effectively removes the shield slot or off-hand slot from view on the client side, providing several benefits including:
- Complete visual and functional removal of the slot from your Inventory
- Disabling the offhand keybind for streamlined gameplay
This is particularly advantageous for servers that implement ViaVersion or similar multi-version configurations, where the off-hand slot may remain unused.

Default Texture Override
The mod comes with a built-in inventory.png texture that appears when the Hide Slot feature is activated. Since the texture cannot be dynamically adjusted in real time, this default asset can be replaced at the following path within any resource pack:
