Beacon PE Mod — this modification introduces the “Beacon” into the world of Minecraft Pocket Edition, similar to the one found in the PC version of Minecraft. While this beacon is slightly less powerful than its PC counterpart, it still performs its intended function effectively.
The beacon will emit effects over both large and small radii, depending on the settings you configured for it. The range of the effects will vary based on the size of the structure (the pyramid). More details below …
How does it work?
The first thing you need to do is obtain an Nether Star. You can craft it using a recipe with available materials or acquire it in creative mode. If you’re playing in survival mode, consider using the Toolbox mod.

Once you have crafted the Nether Star, you can proceed to create the Beacon.

After constructing the beacon, the next step is to create a special platform for it. The platform should resemble a pyramid, with the smallest layer being just one block high. The materials used for the platform can include diamond, emerald, gold, and iron blocks. To access all possible effects, the structure should be built as follows: a base of 9 × 9 blocks; then 7 × 7 on top, followed by 5 × 5, 3 × 3 (totaling 164 blocks), and finally placing the beacon on top.
In our example, we constructed all types of platforms, placing the beacon on the top layer. To clarify, the largest structure provides the most available effects, extending their range to 50 blocks. For a one-block structure, the radius is 16 blocks, and for larger structures, the radii are 24, 32 blocks, and for the largest structure, as mentioned earlier, the effect radius is 50 blocks. It’s important to note that the distance from the player to the pyramid also includes the height coordinate (Y).
How to obtain effects?
After placing the beacon on the structure, click on it. A graphical user interface will appear. The interface features a user-friendly menu divided into convenient sections. The first section is for Main Effects, and the second is for Additional Effects.
The following main effects will be available to you:
- Speed
- Swiftness
- Resistance
- Jump Boost
- Strength
To receive an effect, select the desired one, then place one of the available precious metals in the empty slot below.
Then click the confirmation button. Once you activate the selected effect, your character will immediately feel its impact.
Even if you move away up to 50 blocks, the effect will remain active. The unique feature of the beams is that they refresh the effect every 4 seconds.

Installing Beacon PE:
- Download the mod.
- Launch BlockLauncher Pro.
- Click on the wrench icon.
- Go to “ModPE Script”.
- Enable mod support and click “Add”.
- Now locate the downloaded mod in your device’s file system and click on it.
- The mod has a .modpkg extension. Textures will be installed automatically!
- The mod is installed, enjoy your game!
