Mosasaurus and Tylosaurus

Mosasaurus and Tylosaurus Mod — this mod/addon introduces entirely new types of marine creatures that once roamed our planet during the age of dinosaurs into Minecraft Pocket Edition. The Mosasaurus and Tylosaurus mod adds: Mosasaurus and Tylosaurus. These creatures were famously featured in the well-known film “Jurassic Park“. With their introduction to the Minecraft PE world, being in water will become more perilous than ever due to their aggressive nature. However, you still have an advantage as these creatures spawn only in suitable locations for them. Read on for more details.

What features do they possess?

Mosasaurus: This is the largest marine creature found in Minecraft Pocket Edition. It is also the most dangerous, easily recognizable by its not-so-vivid coloration that stands out in ocean waters. The second creature has a slightly different color pattern, but more on that later. The size of the Mosasaurus was inspired by the movie “Jurassic Park“.

• Replaces: the elder guardian.
• Spawns: around underwater monuments.
• Types:
  • Baby
    • Health: 10 full hearts.
    • Damage: 4 points.
  • Adult.
    • Health: 40 full hearts.
    • Damage: 10 points.

Tylosaurus: This creature is somewhat smaller than the previous one. Nevertheless, it remains quite dangerous as it can inflict significant damage on its foes (prey).

• Replaces: the guardian.
• Spawns: around underwater monuments.
• Types:
  • Baby
    • Health: 7.5 full hearts.
    • Damage: 3 points.
  • Adult.
    • Health: 30 full hearts.
    • Damage: 6 points.

These reptiles are hostile towards all other mobs and players. If they notice something interesting nearby, it automatically becomes prey that they will soon tear apart.

Hold fish in your hand to attract the attention of small marine creatures. You can catch fish and feed them to help them grow faster.

Installing Mosasaurus and Tylosaurus (.mcpack)

• Download the mod labeled “.mcpack” below.
• Run the downloaded file to import the addon/resource pack into MCPE.
• Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to world settings.
• Set the imported:
  — Resource Packs.
  — Add-ons for the world.
• Select the imported resource packs/addon in each section.
• It is recommended to restart the game client Minecraft PE afterward.
• Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!

Installing Mosasaurus and Tylosaurus (.zip)

• Download the mod below.
• Extract two folders from the archive.
• Move the folder “Mosasaurus and Tylosaurus Behavior Pack” to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ directory.
• Move the folder “Mosasaurus and Tylosaurus Resource Pack” to the /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/ directory.
• Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
• Create a new world or edit an existing one.
• Apply the resource pack and addon you moved earlier to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders for the selected world.
• Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy playing!
