Each type of ore can be located in various biomes, each with their specific depth range:
- Sapphire: Found in any biome between heights of -64 and 80.
- Topaz: Located in any biome at levels between 50 and -32.
- Opal: Commonly appears in any biome from 30 to -80, especially around 55.
- Beryl: This includes aquamarine and can be found from 320 down to -16, primarily abundant around 168.
- Quartz: Available throughout the Nether.
- Black Tourmaline: Located between heights 50 and -50 in savannas, with peak occurrence at level 0.
- Green Tourmaline: Found within the same height range as black tourmaline but specifically in forests, most common at level 0.
- Blue Tourmaline: Located in jungles, with the same height range and optimal level of 0.
- Pink Tourmaline: Found in taiga biomes at heights of 50 to -50, most frequently at level 0.
- Orange Tourmaline: Appears in hilly areas, with the same depth and peak occurrence at level 0.
- Watermelon Tourmaline: Most commonly located in jungles, again at heights of 50 to -50, particularly at level 0.
