This mod introduces a plethora of monsters and exciting new features
Whether you’re seeking a thrilling challenge or new gameplay mechanics, this mod transforms your Minecraft experience by adding unique mobs!
Firstly, defeated monster mobs have a chance to drop Monster Heart Pieces, which can be crafted into Monster Hearts. These Hearts serve as a new resource, utilized to create Halloween Potions, special weapons, and armor.
A vital new potion effect included in this mod is known as Halloween. This effect poses a threat—if the player attempts to sleep while affected, they will perish. Additionally, being struck while under this effect can spawn a Rotten Arm (a newly introduced mob) which will attack the entity affected by the Halloween effect. The Halloween effect can be triggered when players wake up or when attacked by an Undead mob. Yet, it isn’t without benefits; it increases the drop rate of Monster Heart Pieces and can enhance or activate certain items, making strategic play essential.
The mod introduces two new gamerule settings: DoHalloweenInNightmares, which, when set to false, prevents the Halloween effect from activating during sleep, and UndeadInflictHalloween, which determines the chance of inflicting the Halloween effect when hit by an Undead mob (set this to 0 to disable the effect).
A unique feature of the Halloween effect is that it cannot be cured with milk; instead, players can use food made from a new crop: Turnips! These Turnips can be discovered by breaking Wild Turnips, which randomly generate throughout the overworld. Additionally, Farmer Villagers offer items related to Turnips in their trades.
Moreover, the mod enhances the game with the concept of Advanced Monsters. If players are at level 20 or higher, there’s a chance for more powerful monsters to spawn (adjustable via the gamerule MinimumAdvancedMonsterSpawnLevel). Advanced Monsters possess unique abilities, making them tougher opponents. Slaying these Advanced Monsters can reward players with Mystic Runes that are valuable for crafting weapons, armors, and more. In addition, players can obtain Lootboxes from these monsters, which contain rewards based on advancements they have achieved (assessing only the collection of iron, diamonds, Ancient Debris, and Netherite Armor).
The levels of Advanced Monsters correlate with the player’s level divided by the MinimumAdvancedMonsterSpawnLevel and will be displayed in the upper left corner of the screen as an overlay.
Players can also enjoy the new Dire Hits mechanic, which represents powerful attacks from select weapons and mobs, inflicting 1.5 times the regular damage. These Dire Hits can be combined with Critical Hits for added damage, although some effects from the weapons, like Fire Damage or Poison, may not be applied. To disable Monster Dire Hits, toggle the gamemode with AllowMonsterDireHits. More details are available in the in-game guide.
Introducing a new Villager profession: the Hunter! Their workstation is the dormant Vampire Artifact, discoverable in the newly introduced Vampire Fortresses. Hunters trade various mod-related items.
New red-named enchantments can exclusively be acquired through the Sculk Vampire Artifact, utilizing a resource called Cursed Diamonds. These Cursed Diamonds can be found in the eerie Cursed Tower (or less frequently in Vampire Fortresses) or created using the Cursed Converter.
Lastly, the mod introduces a fresh array of 16 new monster mobs, including Vampires and Freepers, the cold counterparts of Creepers, alongside a mini-boss! For comprehensive details regarding these mobs, refer to the in-game guide.
