Looking to change the atmosphere in your favorite game Minecraft PE? We recommend installing the mod “Bandits” for Minecraft Pocket Edition, which introduces several new mobs designed in a bandit theme! Your world will see the addition of two new hostile bandits and one neutral one. This mod is a great choice if you want to diversify the mob landscape in MCPE and make survival a bit more challenging and engaging. Interestingly, not all bandits are hostile; for instance, the punk bandit will fight other bandits if they get too close.
Unfortunately, this mod is not fully polished, and players have encountered some bugs while surviving in the world of Minecraft Pocket Edition. However, the main features of this mod are well-documented here! So if you experience any oddities, keep in mind that some glitches are to be expected.
How does it work?
In total, Minecraft PE will feature three types of bandits, each with unique behaviors:
- Armed Bandit (replaces skeletons): neutral towards all mobs and players in MCPE. Will shoot at anyone who dares to provoke it.
- Fireball Bandit (replaces wolves): hostile towards villagers and players. Shoots fireballs.
- Punk Bandit (replaces wither skeletons): hostile towards players but friendly towards villagers. Armed with a stone sword and inflicts slowness upon attack.
- Terminator (replaces husks): shoots Shulker projectiles (only works in Minecraft PE 0.17 (1.0) and above!).
- Criminal Bandit (replaces zombies): deals 10 damage, fast, inflicts weakness, armed with a diamond sword, and is hostile.
None of these bandits will spawn around or inside villages in Minecraft PE! If you want to witness a clash between villagers and bandits, use spawn eggs from the creative inventory.

Punk Bandits are the only bandits that are friendly towards villagers in Minecraft Pocket Edition. They are slightly larger than regular bandits and wield swords.
Since bandits do not use bows, the bow has been replaced with a real flintlock pistol! It has similar properties to a bow but is much more convenient to use, as it fires significantly faster!
Installing Bandits (.mcpack)
- Download the mod marked with “.mcpack” below.
- Run the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into MCPE.
- Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to the world settings.
- Set the imported:
— Resource Packs.
— Addons. - Select the imported resource/addon packs in each section.
- It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!
Installing Bandits (.zip)
- Download the mod below.
- Extract the two folders from the archive.
- Move the “banditmodeaddon” folder to /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/
- Move the “banditmodetexture” folder to /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Set the selected world with the resource pack and addon that you previously moved to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders.
- Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy the game!
