The mod «Crafting Dead PE (The Walking Dead)» is an adaptation of the mod for Java Edition known as Crafting Dead. RedstoneLover was inspired to create it after watching Pat and Jen play with this mod on Java. This mod for Minecraft PE features several elements that fans of “The Walking Dead,” a highly popular TV series about survivors in a zombie apocalypse, would easily recognize. Some of the new features include various types of zombies, such as walkers and runners, along with new weapons in MCPE.

Entities

Walker – replaces the standard zombie, does not burn in daylight, moves slower, and has the same health (20 points)
Runner – replaces the zombie, is faster, occasionally jumps at players (a bug), and has less health (15 points)
Survivors – replace skeletons, assist in killing zombies, and are neutral towards players

Melee Weapons

Baseball Bat – Wooden Sword
Pipe – Stone Sword
Flaming Axe – Iron Axe
Katana – Iron Sword
Bowie Knife – Golden Sword
Chainsaw – Diamond Axe
Diamond Katana – Diamond Sword

Ideas for melee weapons in Minecraft Pocket Edition were inspired by the original mod.

Ranged Weapons (Guns)

Pistol – Replaces the bow, uses bullets (Arrows)
Throwing Knife – Replaces snowball and deals 5 damage (damage equivalent to a stone sword attack)
Rifle – Replaces Ender Pearl and is quite accurate (try enabling it). It has a cooldown before the next shot can be fired.

None of the ranged weapons were taken from the original. Since mods can only replace existing items… there’s nothing we can do about it.

Installing Crafting Dead PE (.mcpack)

Download the mod labeled — «.mcpack» below.
Run the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into MCPE.
Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to world settings.
Set the imported for the world:
— Resource Packs.
— Addons.
Select the imported resource packs/addons in each section.
It is recommended to restart the game client Minecraft PE after this.
Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!

Installing Crafting Dead PE (.zip)

Download the mod below.
Extract two folders from the archive.
Move the folder «Version4» to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ folder.
Move the folder «Version4» to the /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/ folder.
Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
Create a new world or edit an existing one.
Set the selected world with the resource pack and addon that you previously moved to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders.
Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy the game!
