Are you tired of launching a server only to find that someone has already progressed far ahead of you? Say goodbye to those days with Clouded Progression!
Clouded Progression disrupts the typical Minecraft advancement, aiming to thwart any easy shortcuts and prevent players from bypassing the game's natural challenges, especially through trading.
This mod eliminates the player's ability to gather wood using their bare hands and iron using stone tools.
- Instead, players must now craft Flint tools to gather wood.
- Similarly, players can no longer collect iron with stone tools; they must use newly introduced copper tools for this task.
- Various new restrictions have been introduced via gamerules to restrict player access to villagers, such as requiring the "Hero of the Village" status or unlocking the iron material before gaining their trust (unless modified in the gamerules prior to gameplay).
Flint tools may not be very durable or damaging, but they now mark the initial step in the progression line.
Copper tools function similarly to stone tools but offer slightly better damage and durability, as well as the ability to mine iron ore.
To adjust the requirements for trading with villagers, refer to the section on gamerules under "VillagerTradingRequirements." When set to true, only players with the "Hero of the Village" status can trade. If set to false, trading will only require the "Acquire Hardware" Advancement.
Best of luck, and enjoy your journey at your own pace!
