The Birds Mod introduces over a dozen new bird species into the world of Minecraft Pocket Edition, allowing them to soar above you and wander at your feet. Among these, there are larger birds like the Ostrich and Flamingo, which are taller than “your” character, Steve, meaning you’ll be walking among these creatures.
You won’t come across birds just anywhere; the following sections will explain how to find them. Each bird features unique plumage and serves as a source of food that can be cooked, giving you the opportunity to hunt them for meat. Additionally, by defeating birds, you can collect their feathers to craft stunning armor that offers excellent protection and durability.
Where to Find Birds?
Unfortunately, birds cannot spawn naturally in the Minecraft Pocket Edition world as this feature is not included in the mod. However, you can manually spawn birds in the MCPE world for now!
How to Spawn Birds?
First, you need to install the Birds mod on your Minecraft PE client using BlockLauncher. Then, if you’re in creative mode, access your inventory to find bird spawn eggs in one of the menu sections. If you’re playing in survival mode, it’s recommended to install the Toolbox mod, which will add a complete list of eggs to your inventory, or use the Simple Commands mod to easily give yourself a bird spawn egg using simple commands outlined in the mod’s description.
How to Obtain Magic Feathers?
To acquire some magic feathers, you need to defeat several birds of any type, except for the Phoenix, which drops different types of feathers. Magic feathers may not drop on the first attempt, so you might need to defeat multiple birds before obtaining them. The number of feathers dropped can vary from 1 to 10, typically around 3-5, but it can sometimes be more or less.
How to Obtain Fire Feathers?
To get “fire” feathers, you need to spawn a Phoenix and then defeat it, which can be quite challenging. Similar to other birds, the Phoenix may not drop its feathers on the first attempt, and it might even perish without leaving any trace of its existence.
