Enhance Your Minecraft Experience with Bigger Signs Mod!
Introducing the Big Signs mod, an innovative enhancement that introduces Bigger Text Signs into Minecraft. Currently, this mod offers two distinct types of signs:
- Single-Line Signs

Single-Line Hanging Signs
These signs are available in every wood type found in the vanilla game and showcase significantly larger text compared to standard signs. The design remains consistent, accommodating just One Line of text, which allows for a limited number of characters.
Say Goodbye to Cluttered Signs!
One-Line Signs are ideal for clearly displaying large numbers within your builds. No longer will you need to painstakingly type out oversized Block characters line-by-line on a standard sign; you can now simply input the number into a One-Line Sign for a clearer display! This feature is especially useful for train-related constructions in the Create mod (illustrated below).
Elegant and Efficient
One-Line Signs provide a sophisticated alternative to the letter tile blocks available in certain mods. With these signs, you can display multiple large letters within a single block space!
Getting Started with Big Signs
Big Signs is compatible with Minecraft 1.20.1 via Forge or NeoForge. This mod requires no additional dependencies—simply add it to your
.minecraft/modsdirectory, and you’re all set to enjoy the new features. Currently, there are no plans to expand to other game versions until the core features are fully established.Future Enhancements Await
The Big Signs mod is just the beginning! There are several exciting features lined up, including:
- Expanded Sign Materials
- New signs crafted from vibrant metallic blocks from my other mod, Better Tools and Armor.
- These materials will be perfect for use in trains when utilizing the Create mod!
- Thin Signs
- A variant of the One-Line Sign, this type boasts a standard text size but features a sleeker design.
- They can be placed on the top, middle, or bottom portions of any block.
- Directional Signs
- These signs can be oriented on either end, functioning as arrow indicators.
- For Thin Signs, this introduction will resemble the Way Signs present in the Supplementaries mod.
- Billboard Blocks
- A new sign type that utilizes an entire block’s space. They are placed similarly to the Framed Wall Board from the Framed Blocks mod.
- These can be situated on the back, middle, or front of a block, and when aligned next to each other in a rectangular formation, they will create a larger sign that occupies the entire area.
- This feature allows for extended text displays in the world or massive advertisements.
- Enhanced Text Editing Interface
- I aim to revamp the standard text-editing GUI for signs with exciting features such as:
- Options for Bold, Underlined, and Italicized text.
- Customizable text size and color settings, enabling varied size per line or distinct colors for each character.
- Text alignment settings—Left, Centered, or Right.
- In Creative Mode, an additional command can be integrated to execute upon right-clicking the sign in-game.
