Better Quarry Mod — this mod will help you save time when mining ores such as diamonds, gold, iron, and other valuable resources. The quarry block is user-friendly and does not require extensive resource reserves. To craft it, you will need a pickaxe, redstone, a gold ingot, and iron ingots. This way, you can save up to 30 iron or 15 diamonds that you would have otherwise “spent” on creating tools for such a large-scale mining operation.
Better Quarry enables you to mine ores quickly and effortlessly. You can create multiple quarries in the Minecraft Pocket Edition world while enjoying the mining process!
How does it work?
First, you need to create a quarry block. To do this, you will require a diamond pickaxe, three iron ingots, two pieces of redstone, and one iron ingot (you can see the crafting recipe below).
Once you have your quarry block ready, place it in a convenient location (if you know of areas rich in ores hidden underground, it is advisable to set the quarry blocks above those spots).
In our case, we placed our quarry block in the middle of a barren area — where there is not much around, but it serves as an ideal example for demonstrating how the quarry block works!
After placing the quarry block on the ground, it automatically secures a hazardous zone. This is the area where the technical work for mining takes place. The quarry’s vicinity spans 16×16 blocks, which is quite substantial when considering the number of blocks that will be destroyed.
Next, to activate the quarry and start its operation, simply hit the quarry block with any pickaxe, and a message will appear stating: The quarry block is now active!
If you wish, you can place a chest above the quarry block to collect all the mined ores. If you choose not to do this, it’s not a problem. When a chest is placed above the quarry block, all mined ores will go directly into it. If the quarry block operates without a chest, the mined ores will appear on top of the quarry block, allowing you to collect them later.
The quarry block processes one layer of 1 block thickness every 16 seconds. The area of this layer is 16×16 blocks. Thus, you will save not only time but also resources, as mining such a volume of stone would require more than one iron or diamond pickaxe. The resources spent on creating the quarry block are minimal!
