The mod “Drowned Villager” introduces a new type of villager—drowned villagers—into Minecraft.
Spawning of Drowned Villagers.
They spawn underwater, but the likelihood of encountering them is very low. In 95% of cases, you will come across regular drowned, while only 5% of the time will you find drowned villagers. Their professions and levels are not retained, as they are no longer necessary.
Do they behave differently from regular drowned?
No, the behavior of drowned villagers is the same as that of regular drowned.
Additional Changes.
The only additional modifications introduced in Minecraft with this mod are a behavior pack for zombie villagers and the spawning rules for drowned:
- New variables have been added. These are the same variables found in the zombie behavior packs. This is necessary for zombie villagers to transform into drowned villagers in the same way that zombies become drowned.
- The spawning rules for drowned have been slightly adjusted to accommodate the new drowned villagers.
- Mob type: monster.
- Abilities: excellent disruption for drivers.
Drowned villagers can spawn with a trident in hand. They can also pose a threat to land dwellers during nighttime. This villager certainly had a rough time. If drowned villagers remain underwater for too long, they start to shiver and transform. Like regular drowned, drowned villagers emit light in the dark.
