This guide is designed for players eager to learn everything about mobs. Here, I will provide information on slimes in Minecraft PE
Slime is classified as a hostile mob (it attacks players who come within its line of sight).
Slime – a hostile mob, aptly named, can appear in three different sizes and splits into smaller versions upon defeat until it reaches the smallest size. Defeating this mob yields slimeballs, which are essential for crafting sticky pistons or magma cream. They can be somewhat elusive, but there are specific methods to locate them, detailed below.
If you spawn 5 slimes nearby, they will move together, similar to how Magma Cubes behave (previously discussed in another guide – Magma Cube [Mobs][Guides Minecraft PE])
Large slimes require a space of 3x3x3 blocks to spawn, medium ones need 3x3x2, and small ones only need 1x1x2. The highest chance of encountering slimes occurs in areas that are 3 blocks high. However, only certain zones (chunks) can spawn slimes, covering roughly 10% of the game area. Slimes will never spawn too close to a player nor too far away (spawn zone ranges from 24 to 128 blocks radius). Generally, it’s best to search for them in the swamp biome.
Happy gaming!
