At the “Minecraft Live 2020” presentation, the developers unveiled the complete version of Minecraft 1.17, which you can now download on our website for Android. They announced a plethora of content, modifications, and innovations. Shall we discuss it?

What’s New in Minecraft 1.17

Mojang shared a wealth of information, but the most intriguing part is that players could test all the new features before the official release! How is that possible? The updates were introduced gradually in the 1.16 betas.

Revamped Locations

In Minecraft for mobile version 1.17, which you can conveniently download via a direct link on Planet, you’ll encounter submerged and overgrown caves filled with extraordinary structures, plants, and creatures.

• This remarkable, beautiful, yet perilous environment features mineral formations such as stalactites (hanging from the ceiling), stalagmites (rising from the ground), and stalagnates (continuous formations from top to bottom).

Falling onto a stalagmite will cause damage to your character, while placing a container under a stalactite allows you to collect lava or water. Be cautious, as the formations can fall!

Creatures and Items

Several beings have been introduced, including both neutral and hostile entities. Keep this in mind before approaching for a closer look!

• The Glowing Squid is found in the ocean and underwater areas. It emits light, aiding in the exploration of the darkest parts of the sea depths, and drops luminescent ink as loot. This ink can be used to craft various items, such as illuminated frames and glowing letters for signs. To remove the glow with regular ink, simply apply it over the luminescent ink.

 

• The Warden is a formidable foe in Minecraft on tablet. This mob resides in caves and is blind, but has keen hearing. The Warden’s horns respond to vibrations and sounds, and its unique trait is that the faster the victim tries to escape, the quicker the Warden moves. It deals 30 damage per hit and has 84 hearts of health.

• The axolotl is an adorable creature that can aid in exploring the ocean. They reside in overgrown caves and can be caught with a bucket and tamed. By downloading Minecraft version 1.17 on Android, you will encounter mobs in various colors. If you tame a couple of these little fish, they will assist you in battles against any monster. When they lose health, they play dead to recover HP before launching another attack. They target guardians, all types of fish, and drowned mobs.

• The goat is a creature found in mountainous biomes. They can jump high, easily overcoming obstacles. If provoked, they will butt in retaliation. They are suitable for breeding in Minecraft PE and drop horns, but only when they collide with a tree.

The upcoming release will introduce several types of ores and functional items, as well as expand crafting recipes to incorporate the newly added resources.

• Geodes and crystals are formed from amethyst ore. These geodes are indestructible and cannot be broken, and they can be found in underground structures. They spawn in groups.
• Amethyst crystals yield shards that are essential for crafting a telescope.

• A telescope is available for those who wish to download Minecraft 1.17 on their mobile device (remember, there’s a file in Russian linked below), allowing players to observe distant objects in the game world.

• Copper. It is known for its tendency to oxidize; if left uncoated with wax, a greenish patina will develop over time on its surface.
• It is generated in clusters and appears as copper cubes, which can be used to craft building blocks in Minecraft BE.
• A resource utilized for crafting telescopes and lightning rods.

• The lightning rod captures lightning strikes and simultaneously safeguards the house from unexpected fires during storms.
• During a thunderstorm, it emits a redstone signal when struck (for 0.4 seconds) and can harness energy from a distance of 64 blocks.
• An acoustic sensor will be introduced, which is utilized for constructing wireless circuits. These can be located in the Deep Dark biome, available in Minecraft 1.17 for Android (we provide a virus-free download link below the article). The release will feature several types – a sensor, block, chute, and a growth resembling snow.
• The acoustic sensor functions like a detector. It responds to any movements, interactions with items and entities, as well as sounds and vibrations.
• When activated, it generates a redstone signal for 2 seconds.
• The operational speed is 1 tick per 1 block.
• The sensor can be deactivated using wool. To prevent it from triggering, simply place the wool on top.

Additionally, bags have been introduced. These are handy items that increase the capacity of your in-game inventory. Each bag can hold up to 1 stack of loot, making them convenient to carry when you’re out gathering resources.

If you hover over a bag in your inventory, a tooltip will appear showing everything contained within it. Bags can be easily shared—just tie it up and hand it to a friend. You can retrieve items from it at any time, with no location restrictions or other limitations. Pack it up, take it out, and repack it as needed. It’s simple, convenient, and beneficial; you won’t need to download mods for Minecraft BE to access these features anymore.

Plants in the Release

The flora of the cubic world will be enriched with intriguing new species. Some of them are already familiar to us, but the azaleas are a standout feature of the update.

• Snowberries – serve as a light source and a snack for your adventures.

• Water Lilies – these plants allow for easy movement, as they won’t sink in the water; they are a special variety designed for release.
• Azaleas – dwarf trees with charming blossoms. They act as indicators of underground structures. If you spot one, it’s time to dig down.
• Unknown Moss – a subspecies introduced in the MCBE Caves & Cliffs Update.

Changes in Mountains and Caves

Mojang has implemented significant transformations in the mountains. The locations have been thoroughly redesigned, making the cliffs in the game more challenging and perilous, inhabited by mountain goats, and the snow differs from that found below. Therefore, we recommend downloading Minecraft 1.17, as we provide a verified Russian language file, ensuring it’s free of viruses and available for free download.

• Introduced a feature known as “fluffy snow.” Step into such a snowdrift, and your device’s screen will begin to frost over, resembling a winter window.
• This snow has a distinct appearance compared to regular snow, with unique textures and animations applied to it.
• Goats avoid stepping on these areas.
• The player can also get sucked in, similar to quicksand.
• To avoid getting trapped, wear leather boots.
• Falling onto fluffy snow does not inflict damage on the player.

In the game, underground water bodies have been implemented, and the generation process has been completely revamped. Ores are now found in clusters rather than randomly, making it easier to locate specific deposits and mine in larger quantities.

Archaeology
