In the beta version of Minecraft 1.17.20.23, the developers implemented various fixes, including several critical bugs. Adjustments were made to gameplay, the behavior of certain mobs, and block fixes were also applied.

• Improved the insertion of text in Unicode format
• Fixed a game crash that occurred when crafting a crafting table with tooltips enabled
• Adjusted the lighting of beds when part of them is in darkness
• Made a similar fix for large chests in MCPE
• Resolved an issue where players took damage when passing through the End portal
• Arrow and projectile flight at long distances has become smoother
• Corrected a bug related to shield blocking in Marketplace worlds
• Fixed the issue of undead burning near snow blocks
• Loose snow blocks above the heads of burning mobs can now extinguish them
