The test version of Minecraft 1.16.230.52 brings exciting new content, including axolotls and a new block called slate. For now, these features can be accessed through the creative inventory. Additionally, the developers have implemented several bug fixes.

What’s New in Minecraft PE 1.16.230.52

Naturally, the spotlight in Minecraft PE 1.16.230.52 is on axolotls. Currently, they do not spawn naturally and can only be created using spawn eggs. However, once they start appearing in MCPE, they will be found underwater and in water-filled caves. The developers have introduced a variety of unique features for them:

• Spawn locations – in caves and underwater
• Cannot be tamed, but can be bred with fish and led around
• Can come in various colors, except blue – which is a rare occurrence during breeding
• Can survive on land for only a few minutes
• After taking damage, they can play dead – mobs will not attack them, allowing axolotls to regenerate
• If a character defeats a creature that has already attacked the axolotl, the negative effects will be removed, and the hero will gain regeneration.
• Similar to fish, axolotls can be captured using a bucket.

There is a bug related to leashes that the developers are currently addressing – they tend to float too high above the creature.

A new block introduced in Minecraft for Android is the slate. It can be found below the Y-16 coordinate, and in caves, it serves as a decent alternative to natural stone. With all processing variations, over 25 types of blocks can be created. Here are the changes we can expect in Minecraft 1.16.230.52 for Android:

• Underwater texture visibility has been improved.
• Introduced the ability to process oxidized copper blocks using wax
• Fixed the destruction of stalactites after a piston push
• Changed the category of glowing lichen in creative mode
• Corrected the activation of devices after being struck by lightning in a lightning rod
• Moss blocks now block water
• Enabled the placement of any type of vines on moss blocks
• Fixed the drop of spore blossoms when using shears
• Regular vines will also appear in the updated caves
• Corrected the display of the trident in the character’s hands
• Slightly modified the trident animation
• Made a fix for buckets – they can once again be used for fishing
• Protect your carrots – developers have implemented the ability for rabbits to damage crops
• Removed the option for “infinite” feeding of animals until they grow up.

Please be aware that there is a critical bug in the beta version that may occur if you place a glowing lichen on all sides of a block. Enjoy your gaming!
