Many players have likely been anticipating a comprehensive update featuring new items. The expansion of the functionality for the upcoming large-scale update Caves and Cliffs is ongoing, and the developers are now ready to showcase two significant components in version Minecraft 1.16.210.56 – the new Sculk Sensor block and the Dripstone resource.
Features of the MCPE 1.16.210.56 Update
The latest beta version introduces several intriguing blocks from the caves and cliffs update:
- Sculk Sensor;
- Dripstone.
With the sensor, players can now create unimaginable mechanisms in MCPE, as this block possesses unique characteristics:
- It can respond to nearby vibrations;
- Vibrations are detected at a rate of 1 tick per block;
- It can only process one signal at a time;
- A signal can be sent to the redstone either for 40 game ticks or for a duration of 2 minutes;
- The signal reception radius is 8 blocks.
The block can respond to:
- walking;
- running;
- breaking and placing blocks;
- falling items and projectiles;
- flying with elytra;
- swimming.
It ceases to function when the player is sneaking, as well as with other acoustic sensors.
The dripstone block is a stone icicle found in Minecraft Bedrock Edition, typically located in caves. It can be utilized to create stalactites, stalagmites, and dripleaves. Currently, this block is only available in the creative inventory, but it will soon be introduced in survival mode.
There are also a few intriguing details about the dripstone:
- A falling stalactite block can inflict damage;
- Landing on a stalagmite can also harm the player;
- The dripping drops from a stalactite can indicate whether there is water or lava above.
Exercise caution when using this block! It is still somewhat “raw,” so bugs may occur.
Additionally, the beta version MCPE 1.16.210.56 has addressed a number of issues:
- technical fixes have been implemented;
- bug corrections in console commands;
- templates have been fixed;
- the issue with taming foxes – they weren’t eating berries – has been resolved;
- the achievement “Porkchop” has been corrected.
Before launching Minecraft, make sure to enable the Caves and Cliffs option in the world settings. Keep in mind that this update may still have bugs, as it is a beta version, so be prepared for that.
