The title of the update remains under wraps for now. Mojang provided a straightforward explanation – The Wild Update did not align with the features and content that were implemented. More detailed information will be available later, but for now, let’s focus on what is already known and what has been added to the game.

What’s New in Minecraft 1.20

It is known that Mojang will introduce new characters and skins, simply put. This will happen at the end of November – all heroes may have appeared in one trailer or another. Additionally, the developers have given them distinctively different hands.

In the beta version of Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.19.50.22, a variety of planned content has been introduced. Camel:

• Slower than horses but can carry more
• Can accommodate two players
• Feeds on cacti
• Can reproduce
• The second player riding can utilize their own items
• Currently, mobs cannot reach the player on the camel; this may be addressed
• Can perform a dash for speed, then needs to rest

Additionally, a new mob called the Sniffer, which won this year’s community vote, will be introduced:

• This creature will not spawn naturally in Minecraft
• Developers hinted that it is an ancient species
• Will hatch from an egg
• Can be bred
• Will be searching for rare plants (about which nothing is known yet)

In Minecraft BE 1.20, a plethora of new blocks will be introduced, including bamboo variants:

• Currently, there is no crafting recipe available
• It can be used to create not only solid blocks but also other “wooden” types

Nighttime readers can take advantage of the carved bookshelf:

• Crafted from bamboo
• Holds six books
• The comparator detects redstone in Minecraft Bedrock Edition

The test version already features a hanging sign:

• Requires chains and stripped wood for crafting
• Any type of wood can be used for crafting, which will affect the textures

Instead of bamboo boats, the protagonist will have the ability to craft a raft. It is identical to the former in every way, except for its design. It can accommodate the player, a mob, or a chest. This is all the information available at the moment.
However, it can be confidently stated that many more innovations will be introduced. By the way, some of them are already available for testing – download Minecraft 1.19.50.22, where part of the content has already been released!
The Mojang website has revealed that a portion of the patch will focus on archaeology, at last! The developers have shared several screenshots. These show four “vases” (which look more like amphorae) and a brush for excavation. A new block will be introduced in the game, currently named “suspicious sand.” This will act as a sort of beacon for excavation sites.
