Touch the Sky

The cutting-edge skyscrapers of Starlink collectively form a modern spaceport spanning approximately 1500 blocks in width. The development of this project by the team members AnataresBT: Kae, LeonIDL, Miao, and Kevin-The-Ting took just one week.

Kae, an architect, level designer, and artist, shared insights about the team and their collaborative efforts: “Every builder on our team works not only within Minecraft but also beyond its confines. We engage in painting, sculpture, modeling, and music composition. Our involvement in various creative activities allows us to approach the project from multiple perspectives.”

Kae shared insights about a vast central area of the map that integrates various types of zones. Within the city, there is a section designed around the unique logo of AnataresBT, featuring a laid-out grid and architecturally planned buildings, including renovated landmarks such as the Empire State Building in New York and the Schloss Belvedere museum in Vienna.

“In general, the city can be divided into two main areas. The central star is where you will find most of the towering spires, and the eagle, which houses the spaceport, constitutes the first part. Following this, the residential district begins to unfold in the northern section of the map. What was particularly fascinating about this project was the scale of the spacecraft compared to the buildings. The skyscrapers are slightly longer than the cargo ships but have a width comparable to that of the service module. Impressive celestial highways traverse beyond the horizon, created from very tiny vessels. When viewed from below, they give the illusion of vast distances between them.”

Thanks to the team at AnataresBT for their amazing space assembly! We look forward to more epic sci-fi projects from them in Minecraft!
