Discover the train FoxSilver, which you won’t want to miss

There’s truly nothing quite like the experience of a classic train journey. Whether you’re an avid admirer of scenic mountain routes, enchanting lakes in rural areas, or even just a vendor moving between carriages with sweets—everyone has that one unforgettable train ride etched in their memory for eternity. We sincerely hope it’s not the trip where you found yourself squeezed between two people sweating profusely, even in winter.

You might agree that the genuine romance of trains belongs to the past—when they were powered by steam and billowed clouds of smoke into the air. Recall that magnificent sound of travel. You can probably still vividly remember the whistle that a train emits as it approaches a station. Now take a look at the creation of FoxSilver in Minecraft PE—that very horn feels even more pronounced, doesn’t it?

The Zathrus station is nestled in a small valley surrounded by mountains. It resembles a hidden castle with railway bridges soaring over rivers and large caves below. All of this is the work of our featured builder today. “This creation is my largest project in all seven years I’ve been working with Minecraft Pocket Edition. I dedicated a significant amount of time refining everything from the landscape to the tiniest details,” shares the creator.

Although the initial goal was simply to build a station, the developer invested countless hours organizing the surrounding landscape. Every detail of the sand, mountains, and even water has been meticulously crafted. Another interesting aspect is that the station was designed using AutoCAD—the software used by real architects when constructing actual buildings. The map dimensions are 700 by 700 blocks. While the builder utilized tools like Voxel Sniper and World Edit, most of the project was completed manually.

“I set myself the challenge of creating most of the landscape manually, without relying on various programs,” explains FoxSilver. He decided to focus first on the station and then build the landscape around it. Consequently, the landscaping took much longer since adjustments had to be made to accommodate the station. However, the result is commendable—the station appears to have grown here naturally.

You may have noticed that the station features the same color tones as the surrounding area. This choice was intentional—the author aimed to create something desert-like.

“Right after starting the project, I thought about adding a train. Just like in westerns. That influenced my block selection: I chose specific blocks in brown, orange, and red hues. I primarily used hardened clay, spruce wood, soul sand, and brick blocks. I hope you’re not too frightened by the fact that I used soul sand—the scariest block in Minecraft PE.

In addition to using soul sand, the author included two little secrets in his project. Did you notice the inscription formed by the train’s steam? You can read the author’s username there. And there’s another secret, which unfortunately I couldn’t find—a thief hiding on the roof. Can you spot him?

Fortunately, such thieves usually only appear in movies and stories. And in projects for Minecraft PE. When you next board a train, hope that no criminals will be aboard, and that you’ll reach your destination safely!
