The XP Limiter mod for Minecraft Pocket Edition (MCPE) provides a fantastic solution to control the experience levels of players in the game. This mod is unique in that it synchronizes experience point limits between both the server and client, ensuring a uniform experience across all gameplay.
With this mod, server administrators can set a cap on player experience levels. The default cap is set at 250, but if an administrator wishes to lower this to a specific value, such as 30, players who exceed that threshold will automatically have their experience reset back to 30. This feature helps maintain balance and fairness in multiplayer environments.
The mod is mandatory on the server side, while players have the option to install it on the client side. If the client does not have the mod, you can see a noticeable difference in gameplay behavior, as demonstrated in the videos below. The configuration settings are automatically synchronized between the server and the client, so end-users will not need to make any additional changes on their devices.
For example, in the GIF below, the client’s experience bar fluctuates when the mod is not installed. You can see it changing from level 10 to 11 and back down again, illustrating the lack of experience control:
Conversely, in this second GIF, when the client has the mod installed, the experience bar remains stable at level 10, highlighting how effectively the XP Limiter mod functions:
