Vanilla Backpacks

Vanilla Backpacks is the first mod for Minecraft Bedrock that introduces fully functional backpacks into the game. Essentially, these backpacks act as portable chests that you can carry with you on your adventures throughout the Minecraft world. This feature is incredibly handy for players who are always on the go and need to offload their blocks and items. They are easy to wear and just as simple to remove when you need to access your little “storage.” This mod is undoubtedly a must-have for all survival enthusiasts in Minecraft.

How Does It Work?

The backpack has a very low spawn rate. If you come across one, you can claim it by using an emerald on the backpack.

• Android / iOS: Hold an emerald in your hand and tap the Claim button on the backpack.
• Windows 10: Hold an emerald in your hand and right-click the backpack to acquire it.

Before you can use it, you’ll need to dye the backpack. Once dyed, you can open it and store items inside.

Approach the backpack and stand next to it, and it will automatically equip itself on your back.

You can access your backpack by placing it on the ground and opening it like a llama’s inventory. To remove the backpack from your back, simply jump!

You can also open other players’ backpacks while they are wearing them, but this will only work if the backpack is unlocked.

If you hold a hook in your hand and click to tame, the backpack will be locked, preventing other players in Minecraft Bedrock from accessing it.

You can also lock/unlock it while it is on the ground.

You can use any dye to color your backpack in your favorite shade.

Installing Vanilla Backpacks (.mcpack)

• Download the mod labeled as “.mcpack” below.
• Run the downloaded file to import the add-on/texture into MCPE.
• Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and navigate to world settings.
• Set the imported:
  — Resource Packs.
  — Add-on Packs.
• Select the imported resource/add-on packs in each section.
• It is recommended to restart the game client Minecraft PE afterward.
• Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the add-on!
