Revising the Mending Enchantment for a Unique Experience

Unmending Plus introduces a fresh perspective on the Mending Enchantment. Despite its title, this mod serves as a refined tweak to Txuritan’s original Unmending, specifically addressing a bug. Txuritan’s version inadvertently permitted tools enchanted with Mending to be repaired using XP Orbs, and Unmending Plus aims to resolve this issue.
The allure of Mending is undeniable; however, once players acquire top-tier gear that lasts indefinitely, Minecraft can lose its thrilling edge. To revitalize your gameplay, Unmending Plus implements several essential changes:
1. Eliminates XP Orb Repairs
Tools with Mending can no longer be repaired through XP Orbs.
2. Prohibits Mending as an Enchantment
Mending Books can no longer be applied to any tools, preventing the automatic replenishing of durability.
3. Resets the “Extra Repair Cost”
When dealing with the “Too Expensive” mechanic, tools become unrepairable after multiple uses. The new mechanics of Mending allow players to use Mending Books to reset this Extra Repair Cost when applied via an Anvil.
