How does it work?
Now, the wolf in the world of Minecraft Pocket Edition will be replaced by an ordinary little dog – a pug. Despite its innocent appearance compared to the wolf, know that it is twice as strong and has double the health. Tame your own pug by feeding it a real cake:
- IOS/Android: hold the cake in your hand, long-press on the dog, and then click the Tame button that appears.
- Windows 10: hold the cake in your hand and right-click to tame the dog.
The pug shares similar functions with the wolf; for instance, you can use a leash and command the dog to sit and wait for you in the world of MCPE.
Your dog will now be your most loyal companion in the world of Minecraft PE. The pug will protect you in any situation, even if you are attacked by a real Wither! And remember, the dog is much stronger and more powerful than you might think.
Be cautious with your dog and occasionally let it roam free by untying the leash. You need to be extremely careful, as you wouldn’t want your dog to attack other players in the world of MCPE, right? Installing The Pug (.mcaddon)
- Download the mod marked as “.mcpack” below.
- Run the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into MCPE.
- Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to world settings.
- Set the imported:
— Resource Packs.
— Addons. - Select the imported resource packs/addons in each section.
- It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.

Installing The Pug (.zip)
- Download the mod below.
- Extract the two folders from the archive.
- Move the folder “Pug AddOn” to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ folder.
- Move the folder “Pug AddOn (B)” to the /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/ folder.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Set the selected world with the resource pack and addon that you previously moved to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders.
