Entities associated with frigid conditions can now inflict additional frost damage.
Introduction
In the vanilla version, when an entity steps onto powder snow, a timer starts counting upwards. Once a certain limit is reached, the entity begins to incur frost damage, and the timer resets as soon as it exits the snow. However, with this mod, attacks from particular entities will immediately contribute to this freeze timer, making cold damage from ice-themed mobs a gameplay possibility!
Furthermore, participating in the Feathers mod will compel players to experience the Cold effect, which hinders stamina recovery upon accumulating any frost damage.
Configuration Options
- Strays, snow golems, and snowballs can now accumulate frost ticks and are adjustable on an individual basis.
- Gaining frost damage from entities allows the timer to exceed the usual maximum freeze tick count, with an added configurability for an additional “freeze cap”.
- Stray arrows no longer inflict Slowness effects.
- Stray arrows now produce snowflake particles that dissipate shortly after landing.
- Entities that take frost damage will emit snowflake particles.
stay_frosty:frost_damage_dealers
serves as an additional entity type tag for modded creatures, should modpack developers wish to incorporate frost damage capabilities.-
This default label includes mobs such as Chilled from Windswept and Froststalkers from Alex’s Mobs.
