Experience a unique blend of Survival and Creative gameplay with Solace, a mod designed for Minecraft PE that allows one player to enter a safe, combat-free state while others engage in classic survival mode in the same world.

Introducing Solace

Solace offers a comfortable middle ground between traditional Survival and more creative gameplay within Fabric versions 26.1 and 26.2 of Minecraft. One player can activate a “Solace” state, where they are invulnerable to harm, ignored by hostile mobs, and can toggle various features ranging from a secure survival experience to creative options. The overall difficulty of the world remains unchanged, and the modifications are entirely player-based, allowing everyone else to continue in full vanilla survival mode. This makes Solace ideal for mixed-comfort servers where some players prefer building and exploring without the threat of hostile creatures while others seek the challenge of survival mode.

Benefits of Using Solace

When the Solace feature is active, players can enjoy a wealth of advantages:

• Immunity to damage from all types of sources, including hostile mobs, falls, fire, lava, drowning, suffocation, and starvation.
• Hostile mobs will ignore the Solace player entirely while continuing to target others in the game.
• Phantoms are completely absent, regardless of sleep patterns.
• Protection against explosions: Creepers and other hostile explosions cannot destroy blocks. This setting is customizable to cover only specific types of explosions or an entire protected region.
• A fail-safe mechanism with void rescue ensures that players are safeguarded against unexpected dangers.
• Teleportation commands like /solace tp allow players to swiftly move to friends, along with a shared /solace home command.

The Dial Options

The infinite block and torch features utilize the solace:infinite_blocks and solace:infinite_torches item tags, allowing for custom data packs to redefine what constitutes “basic.”

Operators maintain access to all commands; non-operators can manage their own settings when allowSelfService is enabled. The permission nodes solace:use and solace:admin are respected when utilizing a System permissions mod for Fabric, defaulting to an operator level of 2 when absent.

Server-Side Configuration

All configurations can be found in the config/solace.json file on the server. Adjustments can be made either in-game via the Mod Menu and Cloth Config on the client, or through a text editor followed by using /solace reload.

• defaultPreset: Designates the initial preset for new Solace players.
• allowMultiplePlayers: Restricts Solace to just one player slot, maintaining it even if the player logs off.
• pacifist: Prevents Solace players from harming any mobs or other players, in any way.
• teleport: Manages teleportation settings, including cooldown and cross-dimensional options.
• baseProtection: Choose from various protection options like hostile_explosions, all_explosions, home_region, or off.
• featureCaps: Admin controls for aspects like flight, reach, mining speed, durability, and infinite blocks that take priority over any preset or personal overrides.
