PlusMobs Addon is an addon that introduces three new mob types into the Minecraft Pocket Edition world. These new mobs are derived from existing ones in the game but feature slightly altered body characteristics and properties. One of the new mobs is a giant zombie, while the other two are baby zombies and skeletons.
PlusMobs Addon is an exciting modification as it was developed based on the new modding capabilities that emerged with version MCPE 0.16.0.
How does it work?
These mobs will spawn randomly in the Minecraft Pocket Edition world. You can also spawn them manually using regular spawn eggs.
For instance, you can use a zombie spawn egg to create a giant zombie. However, the spawn rate of mutants using a regular egg is quite low, so you will need to spawn a crowd of regular mobs before you can generate a zombie mutant.
Giant Zombie
The giant zombie is incredibly large, capable of inflicting significantly more damage than a standard zombie.
- Health: 40 points (normal zombies have 20 points)
- Size: 5 times larger than a regular zombie.
- Speed: Twice as fast as a normal zombie.
- Damage: 8 points (3 points = normal zombie)
Baby Skeleton
The baby skeleton shares nearly the same attributes as a regular skeleton. The only difference is that the baby skeleton is half the size and twice as fast as its older counterpart!
Baby Enderman
The baby Enderman possesses the same abilities as the adult Enderman. The only distinctions are its size and speed. The baby Enderman is half the size and approximately twice as fast!
Baby Stray
This mob will randomly wield a sword and can inflict a slowing effect on players.
Baby Wither Skeleton
The drop rate for the wither skeleton’s head increases to 30% if you defeat the baby version.
Baby Outcast
This mob resembles the giant zombie, except it is an outcast.
Archers
New types of archers will also appear in the game: wither skeletons, zombies, and pig-zombies.
Installing PlusMobs Addon (.mcpack)
- Download the mod labeled as “.mcpack” below.
- Open the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into MCPE.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition and navigate to world settings.
- Set the imported:
— Add-on Packs for the world. - Select the imported resource packs/addons in each section.
- It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
- Start Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!
Installing PlusMobs Addon:
- Download the mod.
- Create a folder named “resource_packs” in the directory “games/com.mojang/”.
- Extract the mod from the archive and move only the folder from this archive into the “resource_packs” folder.
- Go to settings — global textures.
- Select the downloaded mod.
- The mod is installed — now restart MCPE (this is essential!)!
