Mega Mech Mod — this modification introduces a mechanical robot into the world of Minecraft Pocket Edition, which players can control. The inspiration for this mod comes from the movie “Pacific Rim,” a sci-fi film where humans pilot giant robots to fight against aliens in a futuristic setting. The design of the robot is truly impressive, and the ability to take command of such a massive machine is astonishing!
How Does It Work?
Mega Mech is an enormous robot that players can operate. This machine replaces the Iron Golem in Minecraft Pocket Edition, so to summon it, you will need iron blocks and a pumpkin. Construct the same shape as shown in the image below.
The Mega Mech will appear once you place the pumpkin on the top center block of the structure. This machine is incredibly large, significantly surpassing other mobs in the game.
Abilities:
- Health: 500 full hearts.
- Storage: 27 slots.
- 20 – 30 melee damage.
- Fireball attack at long range.
- High resistance to attacks.
- Fire immunity.
You can ride the robot and control it using a stick controller (carrot on a stick).
- iOS / Android: Tap the robot’s bottom with your finger to bring up the “Mount” button. Press “Mount”
- Windows 10: Right-click.
When you’re not controlling the robot, it switches to attack mode. If the robot detects enemies in the distance, it begins firing fireballs at them, which explode upon impact, dealing significant damage.
If a mob gets too close, the robot will strike it with its hands, inflicting 20-30 health points of damage per hit.
This machine can also serve as storage. The robot has 27 slots available for storing items.
Installing Mega Mech (.mcpack)
- Download the mod labeled “.mcpack” below.
- Run the downloaded file to import the add-on/resource pack into MCPE.
- Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to the world settings.
- Set the imported:
— Resource Packs.
— Add-ons. - Select the imported resource/add-on packs in each section.
- It’s recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the add-on!
Installing Mega Mech (.zip)
- Download the mod below.
- Extract two folders from the archive.
- Move the folder “Mega Mech Behavior Pack” to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ directory.
- Move the folder “Mega Mech Resource Pack” to the /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/ directory.
- Start Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Assign the selected world the resource pack and add-on that you moved earlier to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders.
- Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy playing!
