Medieval Mobs is a mod that won’t introduce any major changes to your game in Minecraft: Pocket Edition, as its purpose is to enhance the variety of mobs within MCPE. This mod adds 7 unique mobs to your gaming world, each with distinct characteristics and appearances. I believe everyone, including myself, would appreciate some diversity in Minecraft PE 😉
New Mobs
The first change in Minecraft: Pocket Edition will affect the mobs that spawn in villages. There will be 5 new types of these mobs. Let’s start with village defense. This aspect is crucial because, in the standard version of Minecraft PE, no defenders spawn after a village generates. However, with this mod, every village will have three types of protectors – swordsman, archer, and guardian, who will appear immediately upon the village’s generation. From personal experience, I’ve seen situations where zombies make life difficult for villagers.
In addition to friendly mobs resembling villagers, MCPE will also feature hostile mobs – Orcs. What sets them apart from zombies? They do not burn in sunlight, meaning you can encounter them both at night and during the day.
The swordsman has an intriguing ability that makes him more intelligent. When defending the village, he can mount a horse if one is nearby. This feature adds an exciting twist to gameplay in Minecraft Pocket Edition!
Now, there’s also a new trait for village residents. Remember the butcher in the village? Upon spotting any nearby animals, the butcher will immediately attack them for food:
Let’s discuss another fascinating mob – the necromancer. This mob brings a touch of RPG atmosphere to MCPE, as the necromancer can shoot fire charges at you! But don’t worry; he won’t harm you since he is a friendly mob.
Another interesting mob is the rat. These will serve as a simple replacement for silverfish in the MCPE world. Rats will attempt to eat all the crops in the village, while villagers, like regular people, will try to kill rats whenever possible. Additionally, ocelots pose a threat to the rats, as they love chasing them just like ordinary cats do.
Lastly, we have the most unusual mob – the Giant! This is the most extraordinary mob in Minecraft Pocket Edition after installing this mod, as it can appear in various sizes!
