Mod “Mechanic (Механик)” transforms the hostile creeper into a helpful mechanic. The Mechanic is a neutral robot-buffer that does not attack players in Minecraft Pocket Edition unless it feels threatened. You can tame it by using some coal, allowing you to ride it for quick travel and easier navigation through challenging terrains like lava or steep mountains.
How Does It Work?
The Mechanic spawns in most biomes of the regular world in Minecraft PE, as it replaces the creeper. To tame it, simply use coal. Once tamed, you can ride on it, which means you’ll need to keep it tethered in a specific location where it cannot escape until you’re ready to use it.
This robot has various uses, one of which includes storing your blocks and items. It offers 27 storage slots.
A key feature of this robot in MCPE is its ability to be ridden once tamed. It is fire-resistant (including lava) and can jump quite high.
Installing Mechanic (.mcpack)
- Download the mod labeled “.mcpack” below.
- Open the downloaded file to import the add-on/resource pack into MCPE.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition and navigate to world settings.
- Apply the imported packs to your world:
— Resource Packs.
— Add-ons. - Select the imported resource/add-on packs in each section.
- It’s recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
- Start Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the add-on!
Installing Mechanic (.zip)
- Download the mod below.
- Extract two folders from the archive.
- Move the folder “ProStarterPack” to /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/
- Transfer the folder “ProStarterPack” to /games/com.mojang/resource_packs/
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Set the selected world with the resource pack and add-on that you moved earlier to the resource_packs and behavior_packs folders.
- All set! Restart Minecraft PE and have fun playing!
