A mod dedicated to enhancing the PVP experience, KnockedBack transforms the conventional approach to dying in Minecraft Pocket Edition. With this mod, instead of instantly perishing from most types of damage, players and mobs enter a “knocked out” phase. When lethal damage occurs, it is negated, leaving the player with a mere 1 HP in a vulnerable and immobile condition for 20 seconds. During this knocked-out period, players are unable to perform actions such as moving, sprinting, jumping, breaking blocks, attacking, or interacting with objects. Once the 20 seconds expire, players regain mobility and can return to battle.
Nearby allies have the option to finish off (or “execute”) a knocked opponent by pressing a designated key (default being B) when close enough. This execution process takes 3 seconds and can turn the tide of battle significantly. Furthermore, any hostile or aggressive neutral mobs in the vicinity of a knocked player will immediately attempt to “grip” and execute them after the 3-second timer, resetting this delay if the mob itself comes under attack first.
Importantly, mobs are unable to execute players who are currently being carried. To pick up a knocked ally, simply press V while near them, allowing them to ride on your character and pausing their recovery countdown. It’s crucial to note that executors, whether players or mobs, have their movement and attack actions disabled for the duration of the 3-second execution timer. Any damage inflicted on the carrier will cause them to drop their passenger, which then resumes the knocked player’s recovery process.
Notably, deaths caused by fire, lava, falling, or explosions will bypass the knocked state and result in a conventional death. Players can look forward to future updates that promise enhanced animations, additional configurations, and unique items for reviving knocked players.
