Some gameplay elements in Minecraft on Android still fall short compared to the PC version of the game, perhaps with the exception of its popularity. By installing the Java 1.9+ Combat modification, you can experience a slightly enhanced combat mechanic.
Features of the Java 1.9+ Combat Mod
The Java 1.9+ Combat mod affects several aspects in Minecraft Bedrock:
- The attack animation of the main character;
- Reloading mechanics;
- Area damage.
Once the mod is installed, your character in the updated MCBE will begin to attack similarly to how it does in the Java edition.
A progress bar for the attack will appear under the crosshair.
Finally, if mobs are positioned on the same block in Minecraft Bedrock, the player will be able to strike them all with a single hit.
Additionally, there are several fixes for weapons in the mod – the axe now deals more damage than the sword. Critical hits can only be executed when the weapon’s charge bar is full. Lastly, players can attack continuously, but the impact strength will be reduced.
Update 2.1
- New types of shields have been introduced – they function like the standard ones.
- A recharge feature has been added for the shields – it activates after a block is performed.
Updates in Java 1.9+ Combat
- Two modification files have been created – one for versions 1.16.100+ and another for version 1.16.40 (both included in the archive).
- Bugs have been fixed.
In the version for older Minecraft clients (1.16.40), shields are not functional and cannot be implemented. The new version works perfectly fine. Enjoy your game!
Installing Java 1.9+ Combat (.mcaddon)
- Download the mod labeled as “.mcaddon” below.
- Run the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into Minecraft.
- Open Minecraft Pocket Edition and navigate to world settings.
- For the world, set the imported:
— Resource Packs.
— Add-on Packs. - Select the imported resource packs/add-ons in each section.
- It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world Minecraft, and enjoy the addon!
