Enhance your Minecraft experience with visually stunning water effects.
MOD OVERVIEW
The Immersive Water mod introduces a new level of visual detail to the water in Minecraft, featuring advanced particle effects that make it feel like you’re actually getting wet after crossing a river. This mod might even inspire you to construct a bridge for the next river crossing! The incredible part is that it’s entirely client-side, allowing you to enjoy it while playing on unmodified servers.
KEY FEATURES
- Entities that jump into water will create splash particles at their impact site, with the intensity depending on the speed of the jump. Faster descents result in higher splash effects. Additionally, splash particles that return to the water surface will generate ripple effects, enhancing the realism.
- During rain, ripple particles will emerge on nearby water surfaces within a customizable radius, simulating the effect of raindrops hitting the water.
- Entities that exit water or come into contact with rain will showcase dripping particles; these will gradually diminish in frequency over a 10-second period.
- When submerged in water, a watery overlay will appear on your screen, providing a realistic sensation that dissipates upon emerging.
MOD UPDATES
This mod is maintained in my spare time, so while there isn’t a fixed schedule for updates, you can expect them to be rolled out reasonably often.
GRATITUDE
It’s astonishing to think that just weeks ago, I created a simple mod without even a configuration menu, and it has since achieved over 1,000 downloads! Additionally, there’s a video demonstrating the mod. I never anticipated that it would gain such popularity, and I am genuinely thankful for the support.
