In this exhilarating game mode, Hunters aim to eliminate the Runners, while the Runners strive to mine a trophy using a diamond pickaxe, with only one life to spare.
The Exciting Dynamic of Hunters vs Runners
A Thrilling Manhunt Adventure Embedded in Your Minecraft World
Hunters pursue Runners as they attempt to reach the trophy first, creating a competitive rush that adds excitement to the gameplay.
🧭 The Essential Compasses
- Hunter’s Compass (marked in red) — directs you to the nearest Runner. Use a right-click to cycle through available Runners; each selection will trigger a chat message to confirm your choice, looping back to the first Runner after you’ve cycled through all of them.
- Trophy Compass (marked in yellow) — consistently points directly to the trophy’s location. Both compasses refresh dynamically, updating four times every second.
🔔 Proximity Alerts
When you approach within 10 blocks of your designated Runner:
- Your action bar lights up in green with the message —
● SPEEDRUNNER NEARBY ● - A chime will sound when you enter the proximity alert range.
- Green particles will also appear around you.
🏆 Achieving Victory
When a Runner successfully mines the trophy (designated as a player-head block) while wielding a diamond pickaxe:
- Everyone will witness an action bar flash in yellow with the message —
● TROPHY MINED - SPEEDRUNNER WINS ● - A sound signifying “challenge complete” will play.
- Additionally, a chat message will announce the name of the victor.
- Any other players who attempt to mine without the correct role or tool will have their action canceled, receiving an explanatory message instead.
💀 Respawning Mechanics
If you perish as either a Hunter or Runner, you will automatically respawn equipped with a new copy of your compass pertaining to your role, eliminating the need for re-gearing.
