I believe that many seasoned players of Minecraft PE have long stopped paying attention to hostile mobs, which can be easily defeated with well-enchanted weapons in just one hit. However, with the new mod called Hardmode, your world in Minecraft Pocket Edition will undergo significant changes, as numerous mobs will become much stronger and more dangerous! What could be more interesting for an experienced player? Correct, enhancing their enemies!
Features
What modifications have been made to the mobs? Now, the Blaze has ten times its original health and deals double damage per attack in MCPE! (For more details about this mob, check out this guide [Guide on Blazes]). Furthermore, the Blaze will now launch larger fireballs at you with greater speed than before. And what about water? It no longer poses a threat to it, as it inflicts no harm.
But what is the Blaze made of? Primarily fire, making snowballs its main weakness, which I recommend using to attack it in Minecraft PE. If you successfully hit them with snowballs, they will perish without any issues! But that’s not all regarding Blazes; throwing a snowball in MCPE gives you the chance to spawn a Snow Golem, who will assist you in battling the enemy!
Another headache for you will be the new Creeper in Minecraft Pocket Edition, whose explosion will be three times more powerful! Additionally, the Creeper now has increased health and can detect you from a much greater distance (almost twice as far).
Speaking of explosions, let me tell you about the new TNT in MCPE. As you might guess, it has become significantly more powerful, and once activated, you have a full minute to escape the blast zone, as the new explosion will be much stronger and cause fires!
As mentioned earlier, you can spawn a Snow Golem using a snowball. This can be utilized not only for fighting Blazes in the Nether realm of Minecraft PE but also for spawning in the Overworld:
Other changes include:
- Zombies are now faster
- Skeletons wield machine guns
- Ghasts have become stronger
- Piglins are tougher and more menacing
- Neutral mobs like cows teleport away from you, making it harder for players to find food
- Many randomly generated chests in the MCPE world now offer enhanced loot
