Do you have a passion for the underwater realm of Minecraft PE? While it may not be teeming with various fish, you can now enhance your experience with the mod titled “Fishes” for Minecraft Pocket Edition. This mod introduces four new species of fish that replace standard land mobs. For the first time in MCPE, we see an addition that brings fully-fledged aquatic creatures into the game, made possible by the latest update of Minecraft PE 1.1.0! This expansion allows for a fresh approach to mob behavior.
How does it work?
Now, Minecraft Pocket Edition features four new types of fish; however, since they are substitutes for regular land mobs, they do not spawn in water on their own. You will need to lure them into the water or use spawn eggs from creative mode in MCPE. Be aware that fish will suffocate and die if left on land for too long.
- Fish (replaces cow)
- Salmon (replaces mooshroom)
- Pufferfish (replaces creeper)
- Nemo (replaces pig)
For the first time in Minecraft PE, this functionality is available! Now, following the release of MCPE 1.1.0, you can encounter fish that serve as replacements for terrestrial mobs. This has been made possible through new features, including a novel type of mob behavior.
You can manually kill the fish to catch them, but unfortunately, fishing with a rod won’t work.
Ocelots, much like real cats, enjoy fish and will hunt them down.
