This enhancement does not introduce additional swords but instead introduces unique stones into the world generation, which are capable of housing a sword. They are compatible with various sword mods, making them an excellent addition to modpacks.
Introducing Excalibur Stones
Mod Features
The Excalibur Stones mod introduces various stones into the game world. Each stone contains a random sword with its own unique enchantments. There are four distinct types of stones available: Cleanstone, Deepslate, Netherrack, and Endstone. The specific type of sword that can be found in each stone is determined by the sword’s base attack damage. For instance, a netherite sword can only be discovered within End stones. This feature significantly enhances the thrill of exploring End islands, as players will be on the lookout not only for elytra ships but also for some of the most powerful swords in the game.
Criteria for Worthy Players
To extract these swords, players must possess a sufficient amount of experience points (XP) and have achieved specific milestones. This mechanism is in place to ensure that only deserving players can access the swords. The XP required is calculated based on the sword’s base attack damage and its enchantment levels. Specifically, for every point of attack damage, a player needs 2 XP levels, and to unlock each enchantment level, 5 XP levels are needed. For example, to pull out a sword with a base attack damage of 7 and the Sweeping Edge III enchantment, a player must accumulate 29 XP levels (7 * 2 + 3 * 5 = 29).
Compatibility with Modpacks
Upon starting a game, the mod gathers all items and filters those with “sword” in their ItemID, such as “minecraft:iron_sword.” These items are then collected and sorted by their attack damage. The mod categorizes them into the four groups of stones. When a chunk generates with the structure containing these stones, it randomly assigns a sword from the filtered list and applies random enchantments. This ensures compatibility with all sword mods as long as their ItemIDs include “sword.” It is perfectly suited for both vanilla-like experiences and various modpacks. Feel free to incorporate it with your preferred modpack.
