eXc Colored Elytra Overview
Have you ever wanted your elytra to complement your outfit? The eXc Colored Elytra mod allows you to customize your wings with all 16 standard colors available in the game, making them visible not only in your inventory but also displayed on your back as you soar through the skies.
Mechanics of the Mod
- Dying Process: Simply place 1 elytra and 2 dyes of the same hue into any crafting grid, including the smaller 2×2 grid from your inventory.
- Changing Colors: You can easily switch the dye on your elytra by using the same crafting recipe — feel free to refresh your style anytime.
- Restoring Original Color: To revert your colored elytra back to its plain form, just combine it with a water bottle in your crafting setup (the empty bottle will remain with you).
- Preservation of Attributes: Your enchantments, durability, and custom names are retained when dyeing. For instance, if your elytra has Unbreaking III or Mending, it remains unchanged in terms of stats — only the pigmentation shifts.
- Full Functionality: Enjoy the same capabilities as a standard elytra: use them for flight, repair them with phantom membranes, and enchant them as you would the original version.
- Texture Variety: Both the item and the wings you’ll see while flying are dynamically textured in the chosen color. 📌 Note on Version Compatibility: In versions 1.5.0 and onwards (MC 1.21.11, 26.1.x, 26.2), you can dye elytras using a loom — simply combine an elytra with any dye. For earlier versions (1.16.5–1.21.10), the crafting table method using an elytra along with 2 matching dyes applies.
