Dolphin Riding (Riding Dolphins) is the first mod that enables players to ride dolphins in Minecraft PE beta version. Rumors suggest that this feature will be officially included in the upcoming update for MCPE, but if you don’t want to wait and wish to try it out now, you can download this mod. However, there are some limitations regarding its use. For instance, you won’t be able to control the dolphin’s movement in Minecraft PE.
How Does It Work?
First, you need to locate a dolphin in Minecraft Pocket Edition. Dolphins can be found in all ocean biomes, except for frozen oceans. Approach the dolphin and interact with it (similar to riding any other mount) to start riding.
- iOS / Android: Long press on the Dolphin and select “Ride”
- Windows 10: Right-click on the dolphin to ride it
Installing Dolphin Riding (.mcpack)
- Download the mod labeled as “.mcpack” below.
- Open the downloaded file to import the addon/texture into MCPE.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition and go to the world settings.
- Set the imported:
— Add-on Packs for the world. - Select the imported resource packs/addons in each section.
- It is recommended to restart the Minecraft PE client afterward.
- Start Minecraft Pocket Edition, enter the previously configured world MCPE, and enjoy the addon!
Installing Dolphin Riding (.zip)
- Download the mod below.
- Extract the “Dolphin Riding Addon” folder from the archive.
- Move the “Dolphin Riding Addon” folder to the /games/com.mojang/behavior_packs/ directory.
- Launch Minecraft Pocket Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing one.
- Apply the addon you previously moved to the behavior_packs folder for the selected world.
- Done! Restart Minecraft PE and enjoy your game!
