Dissolver Enhanced is an innovative mod for Minecraft that introduces an EMC-style transmutation system. Drawing inspiration from ProjectE and Equivalent Exchange, this mod allows players to learn new items, convert unwanted materials into EMC, and utilize that stored energy to recreate items they have previously unlocked.
The primary focus of the mod is to maintain a streamlined gameplay experience. Players gather resources, teach them to the Dissolver block, and transform superfluous items into valuable resources for later use.
Telemetry Note: By default, this mod gathers player telemetry data to aid in identifying bugs and resolving issues. Users can disable telemetry collection at any time through the mod’s settings or configuration files. For comprehensive details on what data is collected and its purpose, visit the designated page.
Key Features
- A dedicated Dissolver block for learning items, accumulating EMC, and recreating learned items.
- Choice of global or individual EMC storage options.
- EMC values derived from defaults, tags, recipes, and server adjustments.
- Tooltips that display EMC values for easy reference.
- A Crystal Frame item designed for crafting and accessing the Dissolver remotely.
- WTHIT support for enhanced gameplay.
- Ongoing development of Condenser and Materializer machines for advanced EMC operations.
Operational Mechanics
Each item within the mod possesses an EMC value. By placing an item into the Dissolver, players can learn it and subsequently utilize their accumulated EMC to recreate that item later. For instance, if dirt holds a value of 1 EMC and diamonds are valued at 4200 EMC, players can decompose enough items to gather 4200 EMC and create a diamond once they have learned how to do so.
Configuration Options
Configuration files are established in:
config/dissolver-enhanced/
The primary configuration file governs gameplay elements such as HUD displays, private EMC settings, creative item values, recipe complexities, and balance modes. Pack creators can also implement EMC override files to adjust item and tag values without modifying the core mod.
Available Commands
This mod includes various admin and utility commands to manage player EMC, learned items, and debug reports. The availability of commands may vary slightly according to the installed version and loader. Common commands provided include:
/emc/emc give/emc take/emc set/emcmemory add/emcmemory remove/opendissolver
Compatibility
A list of supported Minecraft versions and launchers can be found on the mod’s wiki.
Future Developments
While Dissolver Enhanced is primarily focused on Minecraft right now, there are plans to extend the shared transmutation-style logic to other games and modding platforms in the future, with early exploration into support for Stardew Valley. For Minecraft, planned advancements include enhanced handling of modded item values, a greater variety of recipe sources, improved tools for pack creators, and continued enhancements to EMC machinery.
