This mod is designed to deactivate the double-tap mechanism required for initiating sprinting. It’s straightforward and efficient. No additional dependencies are needed, and it operates seamlessly on all Minecraft versions supported by Fabric and NeoForge.
Purpose of the Mod
Since the introduction of a dedicated sprint key in version 1.7.2, Minecraft players have had the option to sprint without relying on double-tapping. Unless there are accessibility concerns that necessitate the original sprint function, players are better off using the specific sprint key. The double-tap feature often leads to unintentional sprinting, which can quickly deplete your hunger bar. This mod was created out of my personal need for a smoother gameplay experience.
