Recently, a new mob was introduced in Minecraft PE – the llama, which is designed to help you carry your items and blocks. If you’ve played before, you might be aware that you cannot ride it or steer its direction. However, with the installation of the mod titled Controllable Llama for Minecraft Pocket Edition, everything changes, as you can now control this mob just like a horse! The experience will be quite similar to riding a horse in MCPE, but to your surprise, the llama is even faster!
How Does It Work?
First, you need to tame your own llama by finding one in the world of Minecraft Pocket Edition. Similar to taming a horse, you must mount the llama until you see heart particles around it. While riding, open your inventory and place a regular carpet in the saddle slot.
Controlling the llama is very much like controlling a horse in MCPE. Just run in the direction you want to go. However, keep in mind that the llama is weaker, meaning it cannot jump.
Even though the llama’s functions in MCPE have changed, you can still utilize its storage capabilities by placing a chest on the animal. The movement speed remains unchanged.
You can speed up the llama by holding wheat and using it on the ground. Additionally, you can lead other llamas by lassoing them. Just be cautious and avoid speeding too much.
