A Unique Hiding Experience with Camo Craft
Camo Craft offers an exciting twist on the classic hide-and-seek gameplay for Minecraft, particularly designed for the Fabric modding platform. Players can transform their characters to blend into their surroundings, taking on the appearance of various blocks while utilizing tactical maneuvers. Meanwhile, hunters are equipped with specialized tools to track and capture disguised players, all while racing against the clock to succeed.
The mod delivers a comprehensive gaming experience with synchronized disguises, tailored interfaces for each role, and adjustable time limits for rounds.
Two Distinct Modes of Camouflage
Classic Mode (Inspired by Meccha Chameleon)
In this mode, players can modify their character skins to seamlessly match the environment, adjust their pose to fit various spaces, and select from nine different stances. Each pose is associated with an accurate hitbox, ensuring that low stances are ideal for creeping into tight spots, while standing positions maintain the typical dimensions of a player.
Block Mode
Transform into a paintable cube and construct your disguise one face at a time. The rotation of blocks adheres to precise 90-degree angles, ensuring that painted faces and the physical representation align perfectly with the world around you.
Artful Painting Tools
The included paint editor boasts the following features:
- Brush: For pixel painting on individual faces.
- 3D Brush: Enables smooth strokes along the seams of models.
- Fill: Quickly recolor a connected area of the block.
- Picker: Sample and replicate existing colors.
- Face Copy: Copy, paste, and rotate the design by 90 degrees.
- Undo and Redo: History functionality to track your edits.
- A smooth hue selector, saturation and brightness controls, adjustable brush sizes, and a palette of recent colors.
- A zoomable and rotatable live preview of your work.
Visibility Controls for Enhanced Stealth
The server synchronizes painted appearances, which are preserved even when disguised as blocks or clones.
Tools for Hiders
- Pose Wheel: Select from nine poses or revert to the default stance.
- Precision Rotation: Adjust your disguise without altering your actual location.
- Whistle: Create a sound cue that hunters can follow.
- Clone: Deploy a decoy that mimics your current look, stance, and position.
- Invisibility: Spend points to temporarily vanish from hunters for three seconds.
- Freecam: Explore the play area without moving your avatar, although hider abilities are disabled during this mode. Points are accrued while remaining within line of sight of hunters, with clone and invisibility charges awarded at 50 and 75 points, respectively.
Tools for Hunters
- A paintball gun operated through the server to capture genuine hiders and destroy clones.
- Limited ammunition with a user-friendly HUD and timed refills.
- Close-range checks with a cooldown period.
- A crouching stance option for navigating lower areas.
Game Mechanics
Round timers, indicators for roles, feedback upon captures, and results at the end of each round are incorporated. Hunters begin with five shots, replenish one shot every minute, and gain additional shots upon capturing a hider.
