The Blood Moon Mod (bum_Bloodmoon) introduces a new survival challenge in Minecraft Bedrock. The arrival of this event is marked by the emergence of numerous monsters, including those that typically do not spawn in certain areas.
How the bum_Bloodmoon Mod Works
The Blood Moon (bum_Bloodmoon) creates an eerie atmosphere within the world of Minecraft on Android. During these nights, your character’s survival will hinge solely on your ability to withstand waves of dangerous foes.
The Blood Moon takes the place of the full moon, making its appearance every eight days. During this period in the upper world, you might encounter mobs that typically do not reside there. To enhance the immersive experience, the creator has included fireflies. They pose no threat and may provide you with a bit of confidence while playing Minecraft.
Entities:
- Fireflies – found in all biomes of Minecraft, and their demise can yield either one health point or 1 glowstone dust.
- Increased number of zombies.
- Increased number of skeletons.
- Witches (rare appearances).
- Blazes.
- Wither skeletons.
- Phantoms.
- Slimes (very rare).
You have the option to add or remove certain creatures from the list of mobs that spawn during a blood moon. This is quite a straightforward modification, and if you are familiar with basic .json scripting syntax, you’ll find it easy to adjust the lists. Navigate to the page at behavior_packs/CS_BloodMoon/entities/fireflies.jsonIn the line labeled “Blood Moon [mob]” located at the top of the code, you can add or remove mobs from the spawning list for the blood moon night. Simply copy and paste one of the components “minecraft:blood_moon_blah” to include or exclude a mob. Be cautious with commas! Then scroll down to locate “Blood Moon [mob].”Here, do exactly as in the first step by copying and pasting one of the highlighted components above. In the highlighted section, there’s a term “Weight,” followed by a value. This number indicates the spawn frequency of the mob. The higher the number, the more frequently that type of mob will appear. After making your changes, save the file, and you’re set — get ready to play with your customized mod settings.
Make sure to enable experimental settings in Minecraft Bedrock Edition for the mod to function correctly.
