During Minecraft Live 2020, a new update was announced that focuses on caves and mountains. An impressive archaeological system, along with a variety of intriguing ideas and innovations, is on the horizon. Why not explore some of these new features before the official update is released? The mod titled Brushes and Archaeology Concept introduces several themed items to Minecraft, including a couple of brushes, copper, copper blocks, and ceramic shards.
Brushes. These are basic items used for crafting other tools. There are two types of brushes: the regular (orange) and the blue one. They serve the same purpose, differing only in their crafting recipes and appearance. To craft a blue brush, you will need two threads and a prismarine shard. For the orange brush, you will require two threads and a copper ingot. “But isn’t there copper in Minecraft?” Correct, copper is a new ore found underground at similar levels to other ores. It is quite common, so you shouldn’t have any trouble mining it. You can smelt copper ore in a furnace to obtain ingots. Breakable Block. This is a new block that visually resembles dirt or gravel. In fact, they are nearly identical in appearance, so you can distinguish them in two ways. First, the breakable block is impervious to any tool strikes, so if you hit it and it doesn’t break, you are looking at a breakable block. Secondly, it is resistant to explosions from TNT. If you want to quickly gather materials, just blow up the area and then collect the remaining breakable blocks. Most importantly, you will need brushes to collect them. Simply hold one, strike the block, and it will instantly break, leaving behind some items. The image below shows all the items that can be obtained from breaking a breakable block. Among these items, there is a new one—a ceramic shard. The shards come in five different types, each featuring unique textures. Although the shards are not currently usable, they look fantastic!
In this mod, copper has an additional use — blocks. These blocks come in 4 different states, but currently, their textures do not change over time as initially intended. You can artificially create these blocks by placing them in stone cutters. It is necessary to enable experimental gameplay.
