This mod enhances your gameplay by adding block tags to Biomes O’ Plenty (BoP), enabling greater flexibility in placing various plant life.
Mod Summary
This add-on is not designed to fundamentally alter the Biomes O’ Plenty experience. Instead, it functions as a valuable tool for modpack creators who wish to utilize BoP plants on unconventional blocks. Thanks to datapacks, you can now see dune grass growing on terracotta, end stone, or any other block you desire.
Understanding Block Tags
The majority of tags within this mod are associated with a specific BoP plant, such as biomesoplaceable:dune_grass_may_place_on
or biomesoplaceable:enderphyte_may_place_on
. These tags intuitively indicate the blocks on which the respective plant can be placed. To explore the complete list of block tags, you can check out the repository here.
There are a few notable exceptions worth mentioning:
biomesoplaceable:dead_or_desert_grass_may_place_on
encompasses both dead grass and desert grass placeable blocks. This grouping aligns with how they are categorized within BoP, likely because they are both found in the same Nether biome.-
Distinct Functionality of
biomesoplaceable:dead_branch_may_place_on
This specific tag operates differently, as dead branches are only placeable on the sides of blocks, rather than the tops. Despite this distinction, the tag’s overall function remains consistent.
This mod was developed based on a request from candyscythe.
It requires Biomes O’ Plenty and GlitchCore.
