In Minecraft, players often face challenges when it comes to storing specific items. The mod “Better Storage 2 (Enhanced Storage)” introduces a fresh method for item management within the game, allowing you to easily discover ways to conceal items, blocks, and liquids. If you’ve taken a liking to a mob, you know what to do—stash it in your inventory! This mod will provide you with all types of storage solutions for every situation!
New features:
- Steel storage
- Storage boxes for various categories of items
- Loader for these boxes
- Storage for powders (such as concrete, fire powder, etc.)
- Conversion of rotten flesh into blocks
- Block compression
- And infinity
Some points may not be entirely clear, so I will now explain each of them in detail.
Steel
Steel is a common element found in nearly every crafting recipe in Minecraft, and it can confidently be regarded as one of the most essential resources in the game. To create steel ingots, you need to place iron ingots into a blast furnace and smelt them down. So, what are the uses for these steel ingots?
- Crafting gears. This item is necessary for converting standard machinery into a box loader.
- Creating a steel hammer. Only this tool can dismantle an unwanted box loader.
- Additionally, steel ingots are used in crafting storage boxes for items.
Storage Boxes
Boxes made from steel blocks can hold a single stack, which amounts to 64 items. Here’s a list of items you can store in these boxes:
- Bamboo
- Apple
- Egg
- Blaze Rod (blaze wand)
- Lava Cream
- Sugar Cane
- Leather
- Beetroot
- Sweet Berry
- Gunpowder
- Bone
- Ender Pearl
- Spider Eye
- Flint
- Potato
- Feather
- Carrot
To load or unload empty boxes, you’ll need to use a pre-made box loader. If you’ve cleared a slot, you can refill it with any items.
Box Loader
This machine enables you to peer inside boxes and view their internal graphical interface. It actually resembles the interface of a marketplace. Inside the boxes, there are loading and unloading recipes for empty containers.
To remove a box from the loader, you’ll need to break it using a steel hammer.
Storage of Powders
Special containers, specifically bags, have been designed for the storage of powders. You can place any of the following items inside them:
- Bone meal
- Redstone dust
- Glowstone dust
- Gunpowder
- Cocoa beans
- Sugar
- Lapis lazuli
- Fire powder
- Clay ball
If you need to empty a bag, simply put it in the crafting grid. This will transfer all items into your inventory.
Compressed Blocks
If you have accumulated a large number of identical blocks, you can compress them. After this process, you’ll obtain a slightly modified block made from the same material, which remains suitable for construction. To create one compressed block, you need to combine 9 blocks of the same type. The following materials can be used:
- Cobblestone
- Dirt
- Netherrack
To revert the compressed blocks back to their original form, simply place them in a crafting grid.
Rotten Flesh Block
Transforming pieces of flesh into blocks is an excellent method for utilizing and storing this bothersome item. The same principle applies as with stones: you compress 9 pieces of rotten flesh into a single block. However, unlike sand, cobblestone, and similar materials, you cannot revert the flesh blocks back to their original form. On the bright side, one such block can be smelted together with beef.
Infinity
Infinity — the most beneficial concept that has ever existed. Infinity will assist you in eliminating hunger once and for all. Consuming an infinity product grants you two points of satiety, while the product itself remains unchanged. However, be cautious, as the infinity cake has a notorious tendency to vanish from your grasp.
